FAQs

We work directly with farms that follow responsible growing practices and use minimal crop protection products. Every batch is tested in our accredited in-house laboratory before it reaches you.

Every spice is cleaned, sorted, and ground at low temperatures, which helps preserve the natural flavour and aroma better than standard grinding methods.

Most of our spices stay fresh for up to 12 months when stored properly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Yes, we do. Reach out to us through our contact page and our team will get you set up.

Keep them in an airtight container, away from heat and moisture, to hold onto their flavour and aroma for longer.

Farm Highlight

Gujarat is an established growing and trading region for nigella seeds in India. Kalonji is grown here as a winter (rabi) crop, sown after the monsoon and harvested in late winter. The plant produces a delicate pale blue flower, which develops into a seed capsule filled with tiny black seeds. Farmers harvest once the capsules have dried on the plant, then cut, dry and thresh them to release the seed.

The region's cool, dry winters suit the crop.
Each batch is cleaned, sorted and checked against our product specifications, so the final product reaches your kitchen as a clean, aromatic whole spice.
